2. Eligibility to Purchase

2.1. To purchase a number plate from us, you must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into binding contracts.

2.2. You must provide the correct documentation as required by law for the purchase of number plates, such as proof of vehicle ownership and personal identification (e.g., V5C logbook and proof of identity).


3. Product Information

3.1. All number plates are manufactured in compliance with relevant legal standards and regulations in the UK, including size, font, and spacing.

3.2. We do not supply "show plates" or any number plates intended for illegal use.

3.3. You are responsible for ensuring that the details you provide for your number plates (e.g., registration number) are correct.


4. Ordering Process

4.1. Online Orders:
4.1.1. To place an order online, visit our website, select your desired product, enter your vehicle registration details, and complete the checkout process.
4.1.2. Once your order is placed, you will receive an email confirming receipt of your order and payment. This does not constitute acceptance of your order.
4.1.3. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order if the required documentation is not provided or if the order does not comply with legal regulations.

4.2. In-Person Orders:
4.2.1. For in-person purchases, you must provide the required documentation at the time of purchase.
4.2.2. Once we verify your documentation and details, your order will be processed.
4.2.3. In-person orders are typically processed on the same day unless otherwise specified.


5. Payment

5.1. Online Payments:
We accept payment via credit/debit card or other payment methods as displayed on our website during checkout. Payment must be made in full at the time of order.

5.2. In-Person Payments:
In-person orders can be paid using cash, credit/debit card, or other payment methods offered at our location.

5.3. All prices are displayed in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.


6. Delivery and Collection

6.1. Online Orders (Delivery):
6.1.1. We will deliver the number plates to the address provided during checkout. Delivery timescales are estimated and may vary depending on your location.
6.1.2. We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party couriers or unforeseen circumstances.
6.1.3. Shipping fees, if applicable, will be displayed at checkout.

6.2. In-Person Collection:
6.2.1. If you are purchasing in person, your order may be available for collection from our store.
6.2.2. You will be notified when your number plates are ready for collection.


7. Returns and Refunds

7.1. Non-Custom Products:
For non-custom products, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your number plates and request a refund, provided the number plates are unused and in their original condition.

7.2. Custom Products:
Custom number plates are made to order based on the registration information you provide. As such, they are non-refundable unless they are defective or incorrect due to our error.

7.3. Defective Products:
If you receive a defective product, please contact us within 7 days of receiving the order. We will either offer a replacement or a refund.


8. Legal Compliance

8.1. All number plates supplied by us are made in accordance with the relevant UK regulations. We will not produce number plates that do not meet the legal standards.

8.2. By purchasing a number plate, you acknowledge that you are responsible for using it in compliance with UK law.


9. Limitation of Liability

9.1. We will not be liable for any damages or losses arising from the incorrect use or installation of number plates.

9.2. In no event will our liability exceed the total amount paid for the product in question.

9.3. We will not be held liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages resulting from the use or inability to use our products or services.

Return and Refund Policy

At Staffordshire Plates, customer satisfaction is important to us. This Return and Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which we accept returns, issue refunds, or provide replacements for number plates purchased through our online store or in person.


1. Custom Number Plates

1.1. Non-Refundable Items:
Custom-made number plates are produced specifically for you based on the registration details you provide. As these are personalized products, we cannot accept returns or offer refunds unless the number plates are defective or incorrect due to our error.

1.2. Accuracy of Information:
You are responsible for ensuring that the details you provide when ordering (such as vehicle registration number and other customizations) are correct. Please double-check all details before submitting your order. We cannot offer refunds or replacements for errors made by the customer during the ordering process.


2. Non-Custom Number Plates and Accessories

2.1. Return Eligibility:
For non-custom products, such as accessories or standard number plates (if applicable), you may return the item within 14 days of receipt, provided it is unused, in its original condition, and in the original packaging.

2.2. Proof of Purchase:
To process a return, we require proof of purchase, such as an order confirmation email or receipt.

2.3. Return Shipping:
You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or incorrect. We recommend using a tracked delivery service as we are not responsible for items lost in transit.


3. Defective or Incorrect Products

3.1. Defective Items:
If you receive a defective number plate or accessory, please notify us within 7 days of receiving the item. We will arrange for the product to be returned and, upon inspection, offer either a replacement or a full refund, including any applicable delivery costs.

3.2. Incorrect Items:
If you receive the wrong number plate due to an error on our part (e.g., incorrect registration number), we will rectify the mistake at no additional cost. Please notify us within 7 days of receipt, and we will provide a replacement number plate or issue a refund, including return shipping costs.


4. How to Request a Return or Refund

4.1. Online Purchases:

Be sure to include your order number, reason for return, and any supporting documentation (e.g., photos of the defect or incorrect item).

4.2. In-Person Purchases:

5. Refund Processing

5.1. Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, the refund will be processed and applied to your original method of payment within 7-10 business days.

5.2. Refunds for defective or incorrect products will include any applicable shipping costs. For non-defective returns, you will only be refunded the cost of the product, excluding shipping costs.

6.1. Damage Due to Improper Use:
We do not offer refunds or replacements for number plates damaged due to improper installation or use, such as bending, cracking, or breaking the plates after delivery.

6.2. Late Returns:
Items returned more than 14 days after delivery (for non-custom products) may not be eligible for a refund or exchange, except in cases where a defect has been reported within the required time frame.
